(Aster ciliolatus) Purple daisy like flowers with a yellow center, grows 30-75 cm tall, blooms August to September. Very drought tolerant. Great addition to a butterfly garden.
Companions: Goldenrods.
Planting Instructions: Seed outdoors in early June or late fall. For spring planting stratify (place in moist sand and keep at 4 C) seed for 6 weeks before planting. Sow 3 to 6 mm (1/8-1/4”) deep. Germination is low.
Habitat: Common throughout Parklands and Boreal forest.
